An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an instrument for identifying the environmental effects of a plan or project before a planning decision is made. An EIA procedure is always linked to a decision/plan: a spatial vision, a master plan, a zoning plan or a permit.
An Environmental Statement contains information about the effects of the plan / activity on i.e. noise, landscape or flora and fauna. In addition to providing information, the goal of an EIA is also to structure the different planning procedures. Wind Minds views the EIA as an important means of communication and a source of information for locals, NGO’s and politicians.
Our services incorporate more than preparing an Environmental Statement. We can assist you with part or all of the planning process. We also provide public information and communication services, assistance with Appropriate Assessments (Natura2000) and perform stakeholder management services.
