During Vietnam’s Power & Electricity World conference on April 10 and 11, Eric Arends, managing director of Pondera Consult, will meet with several ministries, governmental organisations, developers and others stakeholders in Vietnam. The meetings will aim to identify investment opportunities and foster technology transfers in Vietnam’s wind energy sector.
The wind energy potential in Vietnam is very high and preparations to develop certain areas for wind energy are in progress. The Netherlands is a front runner in the field of wind energy with Dutch companies contributing to the majority of offshore and nearshore wind farms throughout the world. In the Netherlands, parties are looking with great interest at the renewable energy policy plans and wind energy development in Vietnam. Wind Minds was asked by the Dutch government (Netherlands Enterprise Agency, RVO) to carry out a study on the opportunities to contribute to wind energy development in Vietnam.
